Abby and Luke, 09.25.10 | Brookings, SD Wedding Photographer

Abby and Luke were married on the best day out of the whole year--they got married on my and my husband's anniversary! Not only was the date that they chose for their wedding awesome, so were all of the little details and touches they chose, too. Luke is a firefighter, and he and Abby had an amazing firetruck at the church waiting for them! They also took full advantage of the beautiful fall colors, and the bridesmaid dresses, groomsmen tuxes, flowers... everything was absolutely gorgeous. :)

Abby had not one, but TWO pairs of amazing shoes!

Kelsie and Chris | Brookings, SD Family Photographer

My young(est) sister Kelsie and her husband, Chris, were home for the weekend so we took advantage of the gorgeous weather and took some photos! We stumbled across this perfect little spot back behind my mom and dad's house, and the light couldn't have been more beautiful. Of course, when the subjects are this beautiful, too, it makes my job pretty easy. :)

And while we were at it, I took some new headshots for them both.

Yeah. My sister is GORGEOUS.

Chris's blue eyes, paired with his dark hair, are so striking! The first time I met him I instantly thought he looked like Jerry Seinfeld (only better looking!). :)

And of course, Aunt Kelsie and Uncle Chris had to take some photos with their favorite nephews and niece, too!

This shot is especially cute, because Chris asked more than once if they could take a picture with my dad's blue tractor. Chris is from Boston--a completely different world from where my sisters and I grew up--and he's very proud that he "married a farm girl." :)

Jessyn, Class of 2011... v.2! | Brookings, SD Senior Photographer

I met up with Jessyn in downtown Madison for some fun, urban senior shots! This was the first time I've ever shot in Madison, and I was very pleasantly surprised at how many cool locations we found! Jessyn's mom, Gaylene first spotted this alley with some graffiti and I'm SO glad she did--such a perfect location for a senior shoot!

Oh, and if you think you recognize Jessyn, it's because you do! This is her second senior session--her first was this summer at her grandparent's farm, and while I love those images (see them HERE!) the photos we took in the alleys in Madison turned out really great, too! This is a really great idea for any family or senior sessions if you want some really different looks for your photos!

I have no idea how Jessyn and her mom will pick their favorites--I'm glad that isn't my part of the job. :)

Thanks for a fun afternoon Jessyn and Gaylene, and enjoy your sneak peek!

The Mumby Family! | Brookings, SD Family Photographer

We had some more awesome weather for the Mumby's family session! This fall has been one of the best ever--unusually warm with some great, vibrant fall colors--and of course, all of the great families and kids who I've gotten the chance to photograph!

Shaylee, Staysha and Kyler brought their mom and dad Tara and Aaron out to the farm for some updated family photos and we had a lot of fun. :) I work with Tara at my part-time job, and she is definitely one of the biggest reasons why that job doesn't feel like work! We get along great, always have a lot to talk about, and even though we've only known each other for a few months she is really a great friend. :)

I know that Tara has been dying to see her photos, so I'll stop rambling and share them! Thanks again Mumby family--enjoy your sneak peek!
